Showcasing leading publishers, exhibit the latest most innovative stationery, CD and Multimedia products, BookFest @ Malaysia 2012 has more than 600 booths, allowing hundreds of publishing houses, book and stationery distributors from all over Asia to present and display their goods.
BookFest @ Malaysia, co-organised with Sin Chew Media Corporation, is deemed as one of the largest book expositions held in the region. The consumer fair will feature publishers from China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, United Kingdom, USA, Canada, Singapore and Malaysia with millions of books from the latest and best collection of Chinese, English and Malay titles in pavilions known as the Chinese and English Pavilion respectively.
The programmes are divided into 2 segments:
- Exhibition
The exhibition showcases the latest books published in China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, United Kingdom, USA, Canada, Singapore and Malaysia. BookFest @ Malaysia 2012 will be officially launched on 17 August 2012. The exhibition will open from 10 am to 10 pm daily from 18 - 26 August 2012. Admission is RM 2.50 per ticket. FREE admission is given for students 18 years & below and senior citizens 60 years & above.
- Events
There are many fun-filled and exciting activities organised throughout BookFest @ Malaysia such as meet-the-authors sessions, fun time for children, games and activities, performances, contests and many more. Chinese-inclined events will be held in Main Stage @ Hall 1 while the English-inclined events will be held in Stage @ Hall 5.

BookFest is a huge celebration to celebrate literacy and the literary works of authors from various parts of the world. It primarily acts as an avenue for all book lovers from all walks of life to congregate and immerse themselves in the vast treasure trove of knowledge. BookFest currently is celebrated in three countries namely BookFest @ Malaysia, BookFest @ Singapore and BookFest @ Hong Kong where they host publishers from all over the world such as those from China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, United Kingdom, USA, Canada, Singapore and Malaysia with millions of products displayed for all to see, admire and purchase. This book festival too acts as a platform for both local and international authors to present their creative writings for all to see.
